SÄKU Conference 2027

What?

Imagine spending a few inspiring summer days in the stunning Gothenburg archipelago, surrounded by safety professionals who share your passion for learning, leadership, and creating safer workplaces. On the beautiful island of Donsö, the SÄKU Conference 2027 brings together an exclusive community of professionals for meaningful discussions, practical workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.

This year, together with Anna Frost and Joakim Vonasek, we will explore one of the most important questions in safety leadership: what truly motivates people to choose safe behaviours, embrace change, and contribute to a strong safety culture? 

Over 1.5 interactive days, we will dive into the science of motivation, psychological safety, communication, Human and Organisational Performance (HOP), learning cultures, difficult conversations, motivational interviewing, storytelling, and leadership in practice. Through workshops, discussions, and real-world examples, you'll gain practical tools and fresh perspectives that you can immediately bring back to your own organisation.

A unique highlight of the conference is the opportunity to experience the world-class facilities at Donsö Maritime Training Centre, where you'll gain insights into how crews from around the world are trained in teamwork, communication, decision-making, and leadership under pressure using advanced bridge simulation technology.

On 17 November, you had the chance to get to know Anna Frost in an exclusive webinar. Log on the SÄKU Member Page with your user to have a further look at the recording and material. There is however not a request to have joined or watched the webinar in order to be part of the conference.

•7:00 – 8:45: Arrival of guests 15 June, breakfast for guests 14 June

•8:45 – 12:00: First part of the conference

•13:00 – 17:00: Second part of the conference

•18:30 – late : Dinner

Conference Day 2 - 16 June (Wednesday):

Price:  8 500 SEK, plus room charges (different options are available – including sharing rooms/suites)

If you want to join for dinner on 14 June, an additional cost will be added for the dinner and room. See registration form for details.

All prices come with VAT. The price includes all meals during 15 June to 16 June.
