The course will be digital and held over two adjacent days the following dates:

To get a lot of interaction going and to be able to get to know one and another, the maximum number of participants is twelve per course.

The ambition from SÄKU is that the participants at each course have a wide spread with regards to different industrial sectors, in order to learn from and listen to more perspectives.

Course description

Develop your knowledge of the human technology organisation (HTO) interaction and how it can be used to progress safety within an organisation. Understanding how humans, technology and organizations interact is an important prerequisite for creating a safe, efficient and sustainable business.

The training provides knowledge in the field of HTO with a focus on the system perspective and why it is important to take collaboration into account in your own operations. You get an introduction to safety culture but also an insight into the origin of accidents and what affects peoples performance and safety behaviour. You also get a better understanding of what it means to work from the HTO perspective and what beneficial effects it has in the business. Theory is interspersed with practical examples and inspiring group discussions. By the participants working together and sharing experiences, maximum benefits are created from the course.

Contents during the two day course:

  • The interaction HTO/MTO, what the concept means, how the different parts      interact and affect each other
  • How the HTO/MTO perspective contributes to safety work
  • Why accidents occur
  • What safety culture is and how it affects the organisation
  • The importance of a learning organisation
  • The role, responsibility and importance of the leader for safety
  • Tools and methods
