During 4-5 June, 60+ participants were part of the second ever SÄKU Conference! Just as 2023, the conference took place at beautiful Högberga gård, just outside of Stockholm.
This time, our distinguished guest was Clive Lloyd, recognized as one of the top 5 global thought leaders and influencers in Health and Safety!
In 2021 Clive held a much appreciated webinar at SÄKU. View the recording/presentation of the webinar HERE.
The conference was highly interactive, social and held in English. Each participant received a special leadership workbook along with Clive's best-selling book, "Next Generation Safety Leadership: From Compliance to Care" featuring a unique SÄKU Conference 2024 cover. Participants also got a SÄKU writing pad and pen.
Clive's sessions consisted of:
Compliance to Care: The ‘what’ and the ‘why’
What is ‘compliance to care’, and why is making the journey so important?
A summary of key research findings into predictors of cultural maturity and safety performance
Self-fulfilling prophecies in safety: The Trust and Fear loops
The Cobra Effect (the law of unintended consequences) in health and safety
Distinguishing between blame and accountability
The links between trust, psychological safety, physical and psychosocial safety and wellness
Compliance to Care: The ‘how’
Psychological tools of influence leaders can master to help them create a climate in which trust and psychological safety emerge
Beyond behaviourism: How to create engaged and accountable teams without needing a stick or carrot
Learning how to do safety WITH work teams, rather than TO them
Tools that help leaders make it safe to share ‘bad news’
Parent, Adult and Child Ego States: Transactional Analysis in the workplace

Apart from Clive's sessions, the participants also got a chance to join a mingle boat ride and have nice lunches, dinners and fikas. This in order to get to know one another more, making it easier to continue sharing and evolving together "post-conference", regardless of sector or industry.
The conference ended with a panel discussion moderated by Bas Vennix (Stora Enso), featuring Clive, Micael Andersson (Sandvik), Arnida Mohd (Hitachi Energy), Jenny Angseryd (Bonava) and Per Renman (Boliden).
It was an interactive discussion where the audience got to ask the panel questions as well as answering seven Mentimeter questions that the panel then discussed. Have a look at the questions and result a little further down.

A great many thanks to everyone who joined us!
