Safety leadership pioneer and best-selling author Prof Dr Andrew Sharman, 10/3, 2021

Uppdaterat: jun 3

At this exclusive SÄKU webinar you will get to get to know and learn from the experiences of an internationally wellrenowed Leader in Safety - Prof Dr Andrew Sharman!

We hope that this session will excite and inspire you to think about safety culture differently.

Andrew shared with us his reflections on Safety 1 versus Safety 2 (with reference to the “Erik Hollnagel school” of the two terms). Andrew also talked about the opportunities to apply the marginal gains theories to safety, as he shared the One Percent Safer movement, launched in September 2020 which harnesses contributions from 142 of the world’s leading thinkers, creating a compendium of ideas that anyone, anywhere, can access and put in place to create a safer, healthier world of work, and encouraging us always to think about one thing we can do to make things safer.

Andrew also considered the role of transformational leadership in safety, to help us understand that safety leadership is not just about the application of policies and procedures, it’s about winning hearts and minds. That is helping you to think about how you can get everyone, every day, engaged in safety.

Andrew also shared his reflections on ‘measuring success’ and how we can create meaningful measures to support us on the journey to safety excellence, that move us away from those ‘Looking Good Indexes’ and towards more proactive forward thinking measures.

Hopefully you will leave after watching the webinar with some key principles to drive positive change and start planning how you can build a robust culture of safety in your organization.
